XVIII. The Moon
The Goddess of the Moon illuminates all that she protects. Two ancient rocks protrude, partially concealed by
the deep waters of the subconscious. A boat is adrift in the turbulent sea and a fish jumps over it.
Meanings:
A cycle of change. Solutions to present questions can be found
in symbols, dreams and intuition rather than logic and reason. Trust your
instincts. An important time for ritual and meditation. The moon rules the
rhythms of life, tides, menstruation, and other natural cycles. Acknowledge your
own natural biorhythms, moods, cycles as well as those of nature. The moon is
metaphorically seen as the womb which both gives and takes life. Be sensitive to
the inner knowing of when to bring something into your life and when to let go.
Reversed:
When natural cycles are ignored or suppressed, a feeling of
listlessness or even depression can emerge. Pay attention to your emotional
state.
